Dr. Daniel Amen considers obesity, depression, and alzheimers different expressions of the same problem… and asserts we can attack all three at the same time.

Once you become symptomatic is not when problems begin.  Symptoms come after things have been quietly wrong for a long time.  If you’re not taking care of yourself and think you’re healthy… well, you’re probably not as healthy as you think.

His main point?  Don’t wait to take care of your health, because EVERYTHING you do and don’t do NOW will catch up to you.  Change your brain, change your body.

How?  Simple stuff.  Exercise, good sleep, high nutrient eating, a good attitude, making good decisions, managing stress… it’s not rocket science.  Even a somewhat damaged brain can move in the right direction.  And the time to start is now.
